AP 2D Design Studio Art Portfolio
The central idea of my concentration is to create conceptual product photography. Using a variety of abstract properties and varying technique, my goal was to guide a viewer through each image to establish the product's purpose.
In the beginning of my concentration, I started with an image of a Tiffany jewelry set. I first started looking at each product experimenting with how to communicate its brand identity. As I worked, I investigated how to add more depth and meaning to each product being photographed. In images six and seven, I took the products highlight feature and communicated it. For the Apple Watch, I used various bands to reveal that the bands are interchangeable. For the Air Pods, I separated the wireless Air Pods and the wires with the iPhone to show the future of listening. By the end of my 10th - 12th slides, my concentration concluded with more intellectual meaning behind each photograph. These images show the progress from more direct to more abstract thinking through my concentration.
